To deal with this dilemma, we have sorted out five restaurants in Guwahati that serve the best vegetarian thalis.
1. Gopal Maharaj
Situated in Fancy Bazar, Gopal Maharaj is among the top places if you are a vegetarian and want the most bang for your buck. The restaurant serves two primary thali options. The first is a mini thali that is quite basic in terms of the items on the plate. The mini thali comes with mixed vegetables, dal tadka, tandoori roti (2 pieces), pulao, pickle, and a salad. To upgrade the meal, you can choose the regular thali. The regular one comes with paneer butter masala, dal tadka, tandoori roti (2 pieces), pulao, papad, onion salad, and pickles.

We have said it before, and we will continue saying it: no list when it comes to vegetarian cuisine is complete without mentioning JB’s. In terms of vegetarian thalis, JB’s has a number of options, but their Shahi Thali is the most popular. Apart from this, a massive Maharaja thali is also on offer.

Located in Fancy Bazar and on the banks of the Brahmaputra, Shahi Darbar may not exactly serve traditional thalis as alacarte, but it serves a variety of buffet options. Along with this, it has options for rajma chawal that we personally term the best in Guwahati.

Banzaara is another outlet that can be termed a gem for vegetarian options. The restaurant located on AT Road serves three prime options. If you are hungry, try the Assamese thali to get your tongue and tummy satisfied. If you are exploring something great to taste, try the executive thali. You will definitely love it.

5. Mising Kitchen
Even though we are making a list for vegetarian thalis and Mising Kitchen is not a totally vegetarian joint, it serves two vegetarian thalis, which are definitely among the best in the city. The first thali is a vegetarian thali with a Mising cooking style, and the second one is a paneer thali served with two paneer dishes. It is definitely one of the best thalis to try.
