More and more cancer hospitals in the country? Is there an alternative?

Amlan Shekhar Baruah

Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated seven state-of-the-art cancer hospitals in Assam and also laid the foundation stone for seven additional cancer hospitals in the state in a single day!

The Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), a joint venture of the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts, is carrying out this project. The project plans to establish a total of 17 new hospitals in two phases. Under Phase 1, seven new hospitals were established at Dibrugarh, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, Darrang, Tezpur, Lakhimpur, and Jorhat, while 3 others are currently under construction. Under Phase 2, seven more hospitals are planned to be established at Dhubri, Nalbari, Goalpara, Nagaon, Sivasagar, Tinsukia, and Golaghat.

This is no doubt a tremendous achievement and a huge step in the advancement of modern medicine in Assam as well as in all of India, since Assam is one of the states in the country with the highest rates of cancer cases. However, is this really good enough? Will this initiative actually help reduce cancer cases? Will it encourage the masses to take positive steps to prevent and cure cancer, or will it encourage them to become more and more dependent on hospitals and medication?

No doubt having a good number of cancer hospitals in the country has its merits, but the people should also know and be encouraged to know how to prevent and cure cancer. Being self-dependent is always better than being dependent on others. So, here, we will be discussing a simple and natural method to prevent and perhaps even reverse cancer.

Can cancer be reversed?

Although it may sound unbelievable at first, several witnesses have shown that fasting has the potential to fully reverse cancer with or without the need for any other treatment. Is it possible that such an antiquated and straightforward approach might be able to treat one of the deadliest known human illnesses, a condition for which the scientific community has not yet identified a cure?

Below, we briefly discuss the benefits of fasting. It is important to note that nothing is guaranteed to cure cancer. What is said here is that, if done correctly, fasting may be able to prevent, stop, or even cure cancer, and that anyone can try it for a few days to see if they start to feel better. If the disease persists, it is recommended that they stop and undergo the appropriate treatment.

Fasting, i.e., eating nothing for a certain period of time, is considered one of the most effective methods to prevent and even reverse various ailments. In addition, fasting is necessary for good health and longevity. It lets our digestive system rest and thus gives our body time to get rid of toxins and other unwanted substances.

We have been led to believe that we should eat more and more in order to stay healthy and fight off diseases. However, the fact that our digestive system needs regular periods of rest is often overlooked. Detoxification is an indispensable process for our body and should never be ignored. Diseases occur when toxins accumulate inside our bodies and our bodies fail to complete the detoxification process. If we always keep on eating without keeping sufficient rest periods between our meals, our body will not get the opportunity to finish the detoxification process. Thus, this will make our bodies more prone to diseases, including cancer.

Detoxification is a natural and regular healing process in our bodies and it does not need any outside intervention. Therefore, we should just give our body the freedom to carry out the detoxification process and not interfere with it. The more we interfere, the slower will be the detoxification process, and hence the healing process. Fasting brings about that freedom and thus lets the body finish the detoxification process smoothly.

Intermittent fasting, i.e., keeping sufficient rest periods between meals, must at least be regularly considered by everyone because it provides immense benefits and is quite important. It is unnatural for anyone not to keep sufficient rest periods between their meals because that prevents their body from finishing the detoxification process, and this increases their chances of falling ill. But when we fast between our meals regularly, our body gets the opportunity to carry out the detoxification process regularly, thus narrowing our chances of falling sick.

When one is extremely ill, prolonged fasting, i.e., fasting for more than a day, might be helpful when intermittent fasting is not helping enough.

There are examples of people who have managed to successfully get rid of various types of ailments, including cancer, by fasting alone. It is a fully natural method that is extremely safe and has no side effects if done correctly. This is why everyone needs to be encouraged to give this method a try. It should certainly be practiced by everyone as a natural way of living because it will at least certainly help in preventing various diseases, even if it may not help in curing them all.
