While Guwahati in Assam is known for a variety of ethnic and continental cuisines, the city boasts several Dosa options as well. In this article, we have prepared a list for Dosa lovers in Guwahati as well as for tourists who would like to taste some South Indian food during the Northeastern tour. Here are five restaurants that serve the best Masala Dosa in Guwahati:
1. JB’s Restaurant
Talking of food from down South in Guwahati, JB’s is a known legend. In terms of Dosa, we would rank its Masala Dosa as the best in the city. The Dosa is quite big, and it is priced reasonably as well.
Horizon Score: 4 out of 5
2. South House
Located in Jayanagar, Guwahati, South House is second on our list. The price is quite great, and the outlet also serves some unique Dosa variants, including Paneer Dosa, Mysore Dosa, and Rava Dosa. The only downside of the outlet is that you will find it a bit tough to reach it as the route is the busiest in the city.
Horizon Score: 4 out of 5
3. Simply South
Located near the Chandmari Flyover, Simply South will become a legend in terms of food in the coming years. The service is awesome, and the Masala Dosa’s taste is good. It does not matter if you order online or visit the restaurant; Simply South is great with both. The prices are said to be the lowest in the city, and the quality is high. The only downside is that the Dosa size is a bit small as compared to some top restaurants in the city.
Horizon Score: 3.8 out of 5
4. The Dosa Kingdum
Located on the third floor of Central Mall in Christian Basti, The Dosa Kingdum is another gem for the dish. Definitely one of the tastiest Masala Dosas is served here. The customer service is also great. The only downside is the price. As compared to other restros on the list, Dosa Kingdum is slightly higher than most others.
Horizon Score: 3.5 out of 5
5. Vaibhavam Sweets and Restaurant
This is one of the most fancy-looking places in Guwahati, which is more known for the sweets than the meals. However, it might look very expensive from the outside, but the menu is reasonable and does not disappoint. The Masala Dosa at Vaibhavam tastes similar to the one you would taste somewhere in the south.
Horizon Score: 3.5 out of 5
While there are many more places in Guwahati serving great Dosa, we did not add them as this list is based solely on visits and customer feedback.
